No Data Corruption & Data Integrity
Discover what ‘No Data Corruption & Data Integrity’ suggests for the info in your hosting account.
Data corruption is the unintentional modification of a file or the loss of info which usually occurs during reading or writing. The reason could be hardware or software fail, and because of this, a file may become partially or entirely corrupted, so it will no longer function properly as its bits shall be scrambled or lost. An image file, for example, will no longer display a true image, but a random combination of colors, an archive will be impossible to unpack as its content will be unreadable, etcetera. If such a problem occurs and it isn't recognized by the system or by an admin, the data will get corrupted silently and in case this happens on a disk drive that's part of a RAID array where the info is synced between various different drives, the corrupted file shall be copied on all other drives and the harm will become long term. A large number of popular file systems either do not have real-time checks or do not have good ones which can detect a problem before the damage is done, so silent data corruption is a common problem on web hosting servers where large amounts of data are stored.

No Data Corruption & Data Integrity in Shared Hosting
If you host your sites in a
shared hosting account from our company, you don't need to worry about your data ever getting corrupted. We can guarantee that because our cloud hosting platform works with the leading-edge ZFS file system. The aforementioned is the only file system that works with checksums, or unique digital fingerprints, for each file. All information that you upload will be saved in a RAID i.e. simultaneously on a large number of NVMes. All the file systems synchronize the files between the different drives with such a setup, but there's no real warranty that a file won't get corrupted. This may happen at the time of the writing process on any drive and after that a corrupted copy can be copied on all other drives. What is different on our platform is that ZFS analyzes the checksums of all files on all the drives immediately and if a corrupted file is found, it's replaced with a good copy with the correct checksum from another drive. This way, your information will remain undamaged no matter what, even if an entire drive fails.

No Data Corruption & Data Integrity in Semi-dedicated Hosting
In case you buy one of our
semi-dedicated hosting plans, you will not need to worry about silent data corruption as we use ZFS - a high level file system that keeps track of all of the files in real time. Each time you upload a file to your hosting account, ZFS will assign a unique digital fingerprint to it - the so-called checksum. This file will be synchronized between multiple NVMe drives for redundancy, so if one drive fails, the other ones will take over. ZFS compares the checksum of all of the copies on the different drives and in case it detects a corrupted copy, it replaces it with a healthy one from a different drive. This is done immediately, so there will be no threat for any part of your content at any moment. By comparison, other file systems execute checks after a system malfunction, but since they don't use anything similar to the checksums that ZFS uses, they won't detect silently corrupted files, so a bad copy can be replicated on the remaining drives as well and you can lose critical information. As this is not the case with ZFS, we warrant the integrity of every single file you upload no matter what.
